This summer I had a couple great adventures that took me away from the hustle and bustle of the city I call home. It was so nice to get away, even though it was only a couple days at a time. I got the opportunity to spend time with great friends and their families.
It’s interesting when you spend time away from Facebook, Instagram, email, work email, etc. how peaceful life can be. It’s a great time to self reflect. Focus on the little things in life that can really make a difference. Enjoying Mother Nature is exhilarating. I spent time at the beach, hiking, kayaking, campfires, watching movies on the big outdoor screen, and enjoying the company I was with. I felt like for once in a long time, I got to really relax.
During my trips, I got the opportunity to practice taking photos with my Nikon D3200 I got for Christmas. And boy was it overwhelming and fun at the same time! I’m just learning how to use it, but have captured some amazing shots of the things I saw on my summer journey.
Feel free to save the pictures as screensavers! The views I got to enjoy and take pictures of are simply breathtaking. Enjoy!! (I’ll let you all guess where these were taken!)
